I will blame a lot of that on yesterday being Father's Day but it is still something both buyers and sellers want to take notice of. We have had several days over the last month or so where there were no Key West homes for sale or Lower Keys homes for sale added to the MLS. This could hurt the inventory and have supply and demand bring prices up. Buyers, please stop chasing the interest rates and dragging your feet. If you wait longer and prices go up, you will pay more money for the same or a like type home. Buy now and, if the interest rates go down, you can refinance. If you have to spend $5,000 refinancing but save $50,000 on the home that is money well spent. Sellers, if you've been thinking of selling, now could be the time. With fewer homes on the market, that same supply and demand will let you ask for more money for your home and it will most likely sell faster.
